AIREO Cyclone Blue Elongated NanoGraph: Hands-On Playtest and Tech Deep Dive

Our local crew tested the AIREO Cyclone Blue Elongated NanoGraph for control, spin, comfort, and drive pace.

At Heroes Pickleball, we do not stop at a spec sheet. For this review, Gayle, Albert, Carlos, Ruben, and David put the AIREO Cyclone Blue Elongated NanoGraph through a multi-hour session covering soft-game exchanges, roll volleys, counters, drives, and overheads.

The group brought a mix of power, spin, and control preferences. The question was straightforward: can a 16mm paddle offer a plush, controlled response without giving up the pace players want when a ball sits up?

First impression: aerodynamic, balanced, and built for two hands

The Cyclone presents as a premium, high-tech paddle with a matte-black raw-carbon face, teal-and-silver vortex accents, a blue edge guard, and an elongated 5.7-inch grip. That longer handle is especially welcome for players who favor a two-handed backhand.

Floating Foam Suspension: touch and dwell time

The Cyclone uses a Floating Foam Suspension architecture: instead of a core rigidly fixed against the edge structure, the design allows minute movement at contact. In the session, Albert described a sense that the ball stayed on the face for an extra split-second, which made third-shot drops and placement feel more deliberate.

Gayle, who is attentive to vibration after long sessions, found the response notably plush. After two hours of hard hitting, the damping felt markedly calmer than the stiff, thermoformed paddles she has used.

NanoGraph™ surface: spin that stayed present

The NanoGraph™ carbon-grit hybrid surface is designed to create traction on the ball. Carlos and Ruben used the session to test roll volleys and heavy cuts. Their takeaway was not merely that the paddle could produce rotation, but that the texture still felt present after repeated use throughout the playtest.

PulseFoam™ core: a controlled paddle with usable pace

Under the face, the PulseFoam™ microcellular polypropylene core is intended to provide a responsive rebound as swing speed rises. David found the contrast easy to recognize: during dinks it felt soft and controlled; when he accelerated through drives and overheads, the paddle produced the pace he was looking for.

Verdict

The AIREO Cyclone Blue Elongated NanoGraph stood out for all-court players who want a softer, vibration-damped feel while retaining the ability to accelerate through a drive. If your game asks for control in the kitchen and confidence when it is time to attack, it is a compelling paddle to demo.
